I LOVE YOU

A simple three-word phrase

Which we are too timid to say

The eight-letter sentence

That I always wanted to say to you

Tell me that I actually matter to you

Hold me for as long as you can

Never leave me behind

Kiss me on the forehead and whisper

"I LOVE YOU" in my ear

Actually, forget the previously mentioned things

All I need is your company

All I need is for you to care

THE WORLD PASSES BY

I don’t see the world passing by
Because I close my eyes
And pretend I’m elsewhere
Because I want to belong somewhere
A place where I could be me
Instead of sitting back to watch the scenery

The whole world is passing by
Like the birds in the sky
And me on the ground
Where I wish I could be found
And they could take me with them
So I could feel so free then

I see the world passing by
They are the many people who walk by
With me sitting off to the side
Even though I’m not trying to hide
Because inside I know I don’t belong there
And I will be able to find my place somewhere

Because even wallflowers
Should pick themselves up
And off the wall sometimes
